Follow the flow chart to the end, then take the badge for the level your application reached and put it on your site. SVG stays sharp at any size and is the one to use on the web; PNG is there for anywhere that will not take an SVG. The black mark is for light pages and the white one for dark; take a transparent version if your page is any colour other than plain white or black.

Using the badge
The badge is the official mark, so it comes with a stricter licence than the rest of this site: CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. ND is NoDerivatives — use it exactly as it is. Scale it to fit, put it where you like, but do not recolour it, crop it, redraw it, restyle the stars, add to it or take anything away. A mark anyone can adjust stops meaning anything.
The badge files on this page are licensed CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. Credit as The Self Certification for Enshittification Resistant Software Project. Everything else on the site stays CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
The PNGs are 944 × 620, twice the badge’s drawn size, so they stay sharp on a high density screen. On the transparent versions the hollow stars are hollow too, so whatever is behind them shows through. Inverting is a straight black-and-white swap — the grey outline on an empty star is the same grey either way, since it reads on both.
